Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

VRCHypnosis does not collect personal data beyond what you voluntarily provide when creating an account or updating your profile (such as your display name, bio, and profile picture).

How Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored securely on Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure. We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal data with third parties. Your information is used solely for the operation of VRCHypnosis.

Pausing Your Account

If you want to step away without losing anything, you can pause your account from Security & Account Status. A paused account is hidden from every listing, profile page and search on the site, and we stop sending you notification emails. Nothing is deleted, your settings are kept exactly as you left them, and you can resume at any time by signing in and pressing Resume.

Data Deletion

You can permanently delete your account yourself from Security & Account Status. You will be asked to confirm your password. Deletion is immediate, permanent and cannot be undone - there is no grace period, and no administrator can restore a deleted account.

Deleting your account erases:

  • Your profile, bio, tagline, preferences, limits, contact handles, payment link and profile picture
  • Your login, which releases your email address so it can be used to register again
  • Your linked Discord account
  • Your availability, profile links and hypnotist rates
  • Every review you wrote and every review written about you
  • Every 1-on-1 session you hosted or joined, including completed ones
  • Your HypnoCurrency awards, both given and received
  • Your HLMS coursework, certificates and classroom enrolments

Because reviews, sessions and awards involve two people, deleting your account also removes those entries from the other person's history and adjusts their ratings and points to match.

Two things are deliberately kept. Group events you hosted remain, because other members signed up for them and that record is theirs as much as yours; any that have not happened yet are cancelled. Security and error logs also remain, so we can still investigate abuse and faults, but the entries are unlinked from you and your username is stripped from them.

Your account is replaced by an anonymous placeholder shown as "Deleted User". This carries no personal information at all - it exists only so that records belonging to other members do not break.

If you would rather we handled it, or you cannot sign in, you can still request deletion through our Contact page.

VRCHypnosis uses cookies solely for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
